Whittaker & Biggs are seeking an organised, proactive and customer-focused Property Manager to join our busy Lettings team based in our Macclesfield office.
Due to the continued growth of our lettings department, there is potential for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.
Working Hours
- Monday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Tuesday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Every other Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
The Role
As Property Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential rental properties, ensuring both landlords and tenants receive exceptional levels of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting routine property inspections and preparing detailed reports.
- Managing landlord and tenant relationships, acting as the main point of contact throughout tenancies.
- Coordinating maintenance and repair works with contractors.
- Obtaining quotations and arranging remedial works where required.
- Liaising between landlords, tenants and contractors to resolve property-related issues efficiently.
- Managing maintenance requests and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.
- Negotiating and resolving tenancy-related matters.
- Handling tenancy renewals and amendments.
- Assisting with compliance requirements including gas safety certificates, EICRs, EPCs and smoke/carbon monoxide alarm regulations.
- Monitoring property compliance deadlines and arranging renewals.
- Processing check-in and check-out procedures.
- Managing deposit-related matters and tenancy end processes.
- Keeping accurate property records and updating internal systems.
- Providing exceptional customer service to landlords, tenants and contractors.
- Supporting the wider lettings team with general property management duties.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in residential property management, lettings or a similar customer service role.
- Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Be confident managing multiple tasks and prioritising workloads.
- Have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Be professional, personable and customer focused.
- Be confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for property inspections.
