Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring all dishes are prepared efficiently and accurately
- Support the kitchen team with cooking tasks, following established recipes and safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of supplies needed
- Follow food safety standards diligently to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
- Serve food to guests or assist with plating and presentation as directed by the head chef
- Support the overall operation of the kitchen during busy service times, demonstrating teamwork and enthusiasm
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant setting is preferred l; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the kitchen
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary experience or relevant certifications are considered a plus but are not mandatory
