PsyScape Art Gallery is looking for a confident, knowledgeable and personable Sales & Account Manager to join our growing gallery.
We specialise in visionary and psychedelic art, working with artists whose work explores perception, geometry, altered states and the boundaries of human experience.
This is not a traditional gallery sales role. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands both art and the world of plant and psychedelic medicine, and who can build meaningful, long-term relationships with collectors, clients and those discovering our artists for the first time.
The Role
You will be the first point of call for collectors and prospective clients, becoming a key voice of PsyScape and the artists we represent. We’re looking for someone who can build their own network and develop new relationships independently, while also managing inbound interest through the gallery’s existing channels. You’ll need to understand what draws someone to our artists, speak about their work with genuine knowledge and conviction, and build relationships that extend well beyond the initial enquiry
Responsibilities will include:
- Being the first point of contact for artwork enquiries
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing collectors
- Introducing collectors to new works and artists that align with their interests
- Speaking confidently about our artists, their practice and the ideas behind their work
- Developing relationships beyond the initial enquiry and becoming a trusted point of contact
- Attending exhibitions, private viewings and gallery events
- Keeping close to new works, collections and developments across the gallery
- Expanding PsyScape’s network across the art, luxury, plant medicine and wider creative worlds
Who We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Extensive knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for art, particularly contemporary, visionary, psychedelic, surrealist or related movements
- Personal or professional experience within the plant and psychedelic medicine space, with an understanding of the culture, ideas and conversations surrounding it
- Previous experience in art sales, art brokerage, account management, business development or another relationship-led role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence speaking with collectors and high-value clients
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- A strong existing network is highly advantageous
Structure
This is a London-based, freelance position with results-based earnings and significant flexibility (remote work etc).
Our preference is for someone who can make the role their full-time focus. However, for the right candidate, we are open to someone beginning part-time and growing into the position.
This structure means the role can initially be developed around other professional or personal commitments.
