Ragdale Hall Spa is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Café Lounge Assistant to join our exceptional team in the stunning Verandah Bar and Garden Room. This beautifully designed space is where our guests relax and indulge in a selection of delicious treats and refreshing beverages, surrounded by calming views and a serene atmosphere.
As a Café Lounge Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience, delivering warm, professional service that reflects our commitment to excellence. Your role is vital in ensuring each visit to our café lounge is seamless, relaxing, and memorable.
Main Duties:
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests and deliver attentive, high-quality service.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and process card or cash payments with care.
- Prepare and serve a variety of drinks, including cocktails, smoothies, and barista-style coffees.
- Confidently respond to guest queries and ensure individual needs and special requests are met.
- Keep the café lounge and bar areas spotless, well-presented, and inviting at all times.
- Regularly replenish snack stations and follow correct procedures for stock rotation and control.
- Assist with breakfast service, cake displays, loyalty events, and other special service moments.
- Adhere to all hygiene, health and safety standards to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Actively promote and upsell products, offers, and promotions to enhance the guest experience.
- Work collaboratively with your team to create a positive, supportive, and enjoyable workplace.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Confident, friendly communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A sharp eye for detail and a positive, proactive attitude – you enjoy going the extra mile.
- The ability to stay calm, professional, and composed during busy service periods.
- Previous experience in a café, bar, or hospitality environment desirable – but if you’ve got the right attitude, we’ll provide the training!
We are recruiting for 3 positions:
These roles are worked on a rota between the hours of 7.00am and 11.00pm, including some weekends. Please only apply if these hours are suitable for you.
- 31 hours per week, across 4 days
- 22.5 hours per week, across 3 days
- 0 hours per week, as and when required
Salary:
- Age 16-17 £8.70
- Age 18-20 £10.85
- Age 21+ £12.75
