Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Carer to join our dynamic evening and day team. In this vital role, you will lead and support care delivery within a care home environment, ensuring residents receive compassionate, personalised, and high-quality care. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff and students, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent, excellent care delivery
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, medication management, and nutrition
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, incidents, and resident progress in compliance with regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care plans and address concerns
- Lead by example in promoting a respectful, caring environment that encourages independence and dignity
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and infection control procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior, elderly care within a care home setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement detailed care plans aligned with individual needs
- Valid driving license is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to motivate and lead a team of carers
- Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
- Knowledge of current regulations related to adult social care and safeguarding practices

Pay: £14.90-£15.50 per hour
