We are looking for a proactive and commercially focused Logistics Network Development Manager to support the design, development and continuous improvement of our logistics network. Working closely with internal teams, logistics partners and operational stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to improve network capacity, service levels, cost efficiency and delivery performance. You will use data, insight and strong relationship management skills to ensure our logistics network continues to support business growth and changing customer needs.
- Develop and implement logistics network strategies that support operational, commercial and customer service objectives.
- Review existing distribution, transport and delivery processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse logistics data, costs, capacity, service levels and operational performance to support informed decision-making.
- Lead network optimisation projects, including delivery model reviews, route planning improvements and capacity development.
- Work with logistics providers and supply chain partners to assess performance, agree improvement plans and maintain strong working relationships.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new sites, delivery services, transport solutions and operational capabilities.
- Prepare business cases, project plans and performance reports for key logistics and network development initiatives.
- Collaborate with transport, warehousing, procurement, finance, technology and customer service teams to deliver joined-up solutions.
- Ensure logistics network changes are implemented effectively, with clear communication, appropriate controls and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor industry developments, customer expectations and logistics market trends to identify future opportunities.
- Experience in logistics, transport, supply chain, distribution or network development, ideally within a fast-paced retail or customer-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics network design, transport operations, delivery planning and supply chain performance.
- Experience managing projects and delivering operational improvement initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insight into practical recommendations.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to assess cost, service, capacity and customer experience considerations.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfortable working with logistics, transport or supply chain systems.
