Waiter / Bartender – Front of House Team
The Winterton Arms is an independent country pub in Chiddingfold, now in our second year of trading, and we’re looking for experienced waiters and bartenders to join our front-of-house team.
We want people who are confident in service, comfortable behind a busy bar, and take pride in doing the basics properly. We have built a strong team and a busy, established trade, so we are looking for people who can slot into a professional operation and help us continue raising standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys good service, good customers, and being part of a solid team.
The Role
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional service to guests.
- Take food and drink orders accurately.
- Serve beer, wine, spirits and cocktails to a consistent standard.
- Keep bar and service areas clean, organised and presentable.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar team during service.
- Handle tills and payments accurately.
- Help maintain a calm, welcoming atmosphere, even during busy periods.
- Support the wider team and help keep service running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a waiter and/or bartender is essential.
- Confident with customers and comfortable in a busy service environment.
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented.
- Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
- A professional attitude and good attention to detail.
- Someone who takes pride in doing things properly rather than needing constant supervision.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£18.00 per hour
