SDH Academy are looking for an individual to join our team of physical educators working throughout Coventry and Warwickshire delivering a variety of sports and educational programmes to local schools and communities. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for providing opportunities to the next generation.
Job Description:
● Deliver SDH designed sports and physical activity programmes to local primary schools.
● In the most effective way possible you must be able to challenge participants mental and physical skills. You will also be required to cross reference your delivery with key curriculum subjects such as English, Maths and Science.
● Promote the culture & the mission values of SDH Academy and encourage sports and physical activity engagement throughout all customers and staff.
● Promote wellbeing in all services that you will provide, alongside sign posting to further support.
● Follow sports & education programmes that have been designed by SDH Academy management. All programmes include child assessment and impact reports to customers which are included in the job role.
● Have the knowledge to be able to adapt lessons/activities around the child’s/customers’ requirements.
● Liaise with key customers ensuring customer satisfaction, alongside gathering feedback on all services that you deliver.
● Help support all customers and partners with sports and physical education delivery where possible.
● Communicate with management on a regular basis.
● Attend all team meetings and staff CPD events as arranged by senior management.
● Follow the SDH Academy code of conduct.
Essential: Level 2 Sports Qualification or degree, Driving Licence and first aid. Experience of delivering sports activities within an education setting.
Pay: £12.78p/h Depending on age, experience & qualifications.
We have approx 25hrs per week available.
This role will be predominantly in Henley in Arden and Studley, but will also require travel to coventry to other schools so driving is a must
*Due to the nature of this job role the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS & reference check. *
