Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to support our waste management and reclamation operations. Your expertise will help ensure the durability and quality of our equipment and structures, contributing to the smooth running of our projects.
Duties
- Skip repair / Machinery repair and fabrication / Truck repair and fabrication
- Perform MIG welding / Gas cutting on sheet metal
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Fabricate custom metal parts and structures according to project requirements
- Conduct quality checks on welds and assembled components to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with mechanical assembly tasks as needed to support project completion
- Any hard facing experience is a bonus
Qualifications
- Proven experience with MIG welding, welding techniques, and general fabrication processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal work
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic math calculations for measurements
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments
- Basic understanding of assembly processes for mechanical components
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £13.50-£17.00 per hour
