Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete line Pump Operator to join our construction team. applicant must be 25 for insurance purposes and hold a class 2 hgv licence. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating concrete pumping equipment efficiently and safely on various construction sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of building projects. Candidates should possess relevant mechanical knowledge and experience with commercial driving, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate concrete pump machinery accurately to deliver concrete to designated areas on-site
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pumping equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Coordinate with site managers and construction teams to plan and execute pouring schedules
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during operation, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with setup and dismantling of pump systems at various locations within the construction site
- Maintain detailed records of daily operations, including hours worked and materials delivered
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain workflow efficiency
Skills
- Proven experience operating concrete pumps in a construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge related to pump systems and general machinery maintenance
- Commercial driving experience, with a valid lorry or HGV licence preferred
- Familiarity with operating excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures relevant to construction sites
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with colleagues and site personnel
This role is vital for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of concrete on-site, supporting the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical competence, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour
