About the role
We are looking for an experienced Director of Technology to lead our technology strategy and help shape the next stage of our organisation's growth.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a technology professional who can combine technology strategy, IT leadership, software development, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and digital transformation with strong commercial decision-making.
You will work closely with senior leadership to establish technology priorities, improve operational resilience and build a scalable technology function that supports long-term business goals.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
- Lead technology, IT and software development initiatives from strategy through delivery.
- Oversee technology infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity and IT operations.
- Establish technology standards, architecture principles and effective governance.
- Lead and develop high-performing technology teams.
- Manage technology budgets, suppliers and strategic technology partners.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and business performance through technology.
- Ensure technology platforms are secure, reliable, scalable and fit for purpose.
- Oversee technology risk, information security and business continuity.
- Work with senior leadership to evaluate technology investments and priorities.
- Lead digital transformation and modernisation programmes.
- Track technology performance, delivery milestones, risks and key business outcomes.
What we're looking forRequired
- Significant experience in a senior technology, IT, engineering or software leadership role.
- Experience developing and delivering technology strategy.
- Strong understanding of software development, IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
- Experience leading and developing technology teams.
- Experience managing technology budgets, suppliers and external partners.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk and data protection.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear business decisions.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
Desirable
- Experience leading digital transformation programmes.
- Experience working with modern cloud platforms and SaaS technologies.
- Experience with technology governance, architecture or enterprise systems.
- Experience working directly with executive leadership or boards.
- Relevant degree or professional technology qualification.

In your first year, you will help establish a clear technology roadmap, strengthen technology operations and security, improve delivery processes and build a strong foundation for future digital growth.
