Property Manager Supervisor — Edinburgh Short-Let Portfolio
Immediate start available
Every guest who checks into a Stays In property has one person to thank for it being spotless, safe, and ready: the Property Supervisor. That's the role we're hiring for, and we need someone who can start straight away.
This isn't a desk job, and it isn't a role where you sit back and wait to be told what to do. You'll be out across Edinburgh every day, walking into properties, and making the call: is this ready for a guest? You'll catch what a checklist alone would miss — a boiler that's lost pressure, a router that's dropped off, a cupboard that needs restocking — and you'll fix what you can on the spot and flag the rest before it ever becomes a guest's problem. We're trusting you to be our eyes, our judgement, and our standard, on the ground, every single day.
Where this can go
This role isn't a ceiling, it's a starting point. As you get to know the portfolio and prove you can be trusted with more, there's a genuine, structured path from Property Supervisor into an Operations Manager role — taking on more responsibility, more of the business, and more say in how things run. We're a growing company, and we'd rather build our future managers from people who've already proven themselves on the ground than hire them in from outside. If you're someone who wants to be given more once you've earned it, this is exactly that kind of company.
What you'll actually be doing:
- Inspecting properties after each clean — cleanliness, safety, everything working, before any guest sets foot inside
- Spotting and logging maintenance issues, and coordinating the right contractor to sort them
- Keeping consumables and supplies stocked and properties fully guest-ready
- Making sure compliance paperwork is where it should be, every property, every time
- Working hands-on with our cleaning team and contractors to keep standards consistently high
- Reporting back clearly with photos, so the office always knows exactly what's happening on the ground
- Stepping in occasionally to personally clean a property yourself, in exceptional circumstances (for example, if a cleaner is off sick at short notice) — this is not the day-to-day job, but it does happen, and we need someone willing to roll their sleeves up when it does
What we're looking for:
- A full UK driving licence and your own vehicle (fuel allowance provided)
- Comfortable using a smartphone, WhatsApp, and basic apps for reporting
- A sharp eye for detail — you notice what other people walk past
- Reliable, honest, and genuinely happy working independently
- Available to start immediately
- Experience in property, hospitality, or cleaning supervision is a bonus, but the right attitude matters more to us than a perfect CV
Hours & Pay:
- £14.00 per hour, gross (approx. £25,480/year based on a standard 35-hour week)
- 9:30am–4:30pm, five days a week on a rota across Monday to Sunday (your specific days will vary week to week)
- Paid weekly, every Friday
- 28 days' paid holiday per year
- Workplace pension
