A cook is required 17 hours per week over 2days. Working pattern includes possible weekend work. Must hold current Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 minimum.
Duties:
To assist management to keep the purchase of materials within allocated budgets.To maintain a balanced diet and varied menu.To be aware of the client’s needs and dietary preferences.To ensure that all kitchen staff are trained within the requirements of current legislation.To maintain the kitchen equipment, are specified by respective manufacturers.To ensure that all kitchen staff clean the kitchen after use, and at the end of each shift, leave the kitchen in a hygienic state.To ensure that after each meal, samples of food are retained in sample pots in chilled form for the period of required period.To be responsible for actively contributing in the preparation and cooking of food and the cleaning of the kitchen area.To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.To clearly document all clients’ daily fluid and nutrition intake in an appropriate manner, thus allowing any care professional to be able to ascertain appropriate nutrition is being taken by client on a daily basis.
