Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to provide educational support to students in various subjects. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in special education settings, and possess strong communication skills. Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address specific learning challenges.
- Educate students on subject matter while employing various teaching methods to enhance understanding and retention.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for development.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere that motivates students to excel.
- Assist in preparing students for exams and assessments by providing targeted revision strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with children, is highly desirable.
- Background in special education is an advantage, enabling the tutor to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education are essential traits for success in this role.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods based on the unique requirements of each student.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
