Ridgeview is gearing up for an exciting next stage of growth.
As pioneers of English sparkling wine, we have spent decades helping to shape a category that is now recognised around the world. As the business continues to evolve, we are strengthening the team behind that growth and are looking for a commercially minded Finance & Commercial Operations Manager to join us.
This is a broad and influential role, combining strong financial management with commercial operations and business partnering. You will work closely with our Finance Director and commercial leadership team, helping us understand performance, improve decision-making and build the processes and insight needed to support future growth.
You will have responsibility for core finance activities including management accounts, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting, reconciliations, stock, audit and financial controls. Alongside this, you will play an important role in supporting the commercial side of the business - developing and tracking KPIs, providing insight into sales, margin and profitability, supporting pricing and contracting processes, and acting as a trusted finance partner to our sales leadership team.
This is a role for someone who wants to build, improve and influence - not simply inherit a fixed set of processes. You will understand the realities of a manufacturing and stock-led business, including inventory, production, working capital and the commercial impact of decisions made across sales and operations.
We are also looking for someone who enjoys improving how things work. You will be a confident NetSuite user and comfortable working across reporting, data and CRM functionality. You will help us make better use of systems, automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, reporting and commercial insight. The role is office based with some flexibility for home working.
You will be a strong all-round finance professional who is equally comfortable getting into the detail and stepping back to understand the commercial picture.
Ideally, you will bring:
-
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred
-
Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
-
Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, food & drink, wine, spirits or other stock intensive environment
-
Strong understanding of inventory, cost of goods, working capital and margin
-
Hands-on NetSuite experience, including reporting and data management ( other transferrable equivalent ERP experience considered )
-
Experience partnering with sales or commercial teams
-
Experience developing and tracking commercial KPIs
-
Experience supporting pricing controls, approvals and commercial contracting processes
-
Experience of stock funding or inventory finance arrangements
-
Confidence working across finance, sales and operations
-
An active interest in using AI, automation and digital tools to improve ways of working
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear, practical insight
-
A collaborative style and the confidence to challenge constructively
-
The ability to improve systems and processes rather than simply operate them
In your first 12 months, we would expect you to strengthen reporting and commercial insight, improve the way we use NetSuite and other tools, bring greater visibility to stock, margin and commercial performance, and become a trusted partner to both Finance and the commercial team.
At Ridgeview, we are proud of what we have built, but we are not standing still. Our culture is collaborative, authentic and ambitious, with people who care about doing things well and supporting each other along the way.
We value ideas, curiosity and constructive challenge, and we want people to feel able to make a real contribution rather than simply stay in their lane.
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to have a genuine impact across a growing business. You might currently be a Finance Manager, Commercial Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner or working in a broader finance and operations role and looking for the opportunity to take on more commercial responsibility.
You will be joining a business with a strong heritage, an exceptional product and exciting plans for the future. If you enjoy combining finance, commercial thinking and continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you.
