Our Legal team’s mission is to play a key role in ensuring Cundall continues to grow as an internationally renowned and respected engineering consultancy, by providing legal advice and support across all locations in relation to risk, contracts, insurance, and other areas of legal impact.
The Role:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic paralegal to join our in-house legal team. You will support the Legal Team in managing contractual risk, maintaining legal records and processes, undertaking legal research and assisting with the execution of project documentation. You will also play a role in supporting legal technology and process improvement initiatives within the team.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to international construction and engineering projects, professional appointments, insurance matters and legal risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
The Responsibilities:

Provide legal and administrative support, including document management, contract database administration, document comparisons and record keeping.

Assess the validity of requests for novations, assignments, collateral warranties, letters of reliance and related contractual arrangements.

Undertake project-related information gathering tasks and produce clear summaries for the legal team.

Conduct legal research and prepare concise summaries for the legal team.

Support the review of professional appointments, sub-consultancy agreements, novations and collateral warranties for legal, insurance and commercial risk, if required.

Arrange and coordinate the execution of project-related agreements such as professional appointments, novations, sub-consultancy appointments and collateral warranties.

Support the development and use of legal technology, AI tools and process improvement initiatives within the legal team.
The Skills:
- Degree in Law.

Experience in a paralegal or similar legal support role.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse contractual documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

Commercial awareness and sound judgment.
-
Experience in Construction Law is desirable.

Experience or interest in AI-enabled legal solutions and process improvement would be advantageous.
