About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and highly organised Venue Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy gentlemen’s club in Leeds.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, maintaining operational standards, supporting staff performance, and ensuring the venue operates safely, professionally, and in line with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will be an approachable leader with experience in hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, or venue management.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
- Oversee the daily running of the venue and ensure smooth service delivery
- Manage opening and closing procedures and venue readiness
- Maintain high standards across customer service, presentation, cleanliness, and atmosphere
- Monitor venue performance and implement operational improvements
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and manage club employees
- Lead, motivate, and develop teams across front-of-house and operational functions
- Conduct performance reviews and address staffing issues professionally and consistently
- Foster a positive, professional, and respectful workplace culture
Customer Experience & Revenue Growth
- Deliver a premium guest experience and handle customer concerns effectively
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue
- Support promotional activity, events, and customer retention initiatives
- Build relationships with regular customers while maintaining professional boundaries
Compliance & Venue Standards
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, venue policies, health and safety requirements, and employment procedures
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting
- Work closely with security and operational teams to maintain a safe environment
- Manage incidents professionally and escalate where appropriate
Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage budgets, staffing costs, and stock control processes
- Monitor cash handling procedures and daily reconciliations
- Produce regular reports on venue performance and KPIs
- Support achievement of commercial targets and profitability goals
Candidate Requirements
- Previous management experience within hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, leisure, or venue operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercial awareness with experience managing targets and budgets
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, and late-night schedules
- Strong organisational and decision-making capability
- Proficiency with rota planning and operational reporting
Desirable Experience
- Licensed venue or late-night economy experience
- Team recruitment and development experience
- Event or premium customer service management
- Knowledge of licensing and compliance expectations for hospitality venues
