Role Overview
The HR Intern will assist with candidate sourcing, CV screening, interview coordination, job posting, candidate communication, recruitment administration, and database management.
This opportunity is suitable for students, recent graduates, or early-career candidates interested in HR, talent acquisition, recruitment, or the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities
### Candidate Sourcing
* Search for suitable IT candidates through LinkedIn, job portals, professional networks, referrals, and the company database.
* Identify candidates based on required technical skills, experience, location, availability, and salary expectations.
* Build and maintain a pipeline of suitable candidates for current and future vacancies.
* Contact potential candidates through telephone, email, LinkedIn, and other approved channels.
### CV Screening and Candidate Communication
* Review CVs and applications against job requirements.
* Conduct initial screening calls with candidates.
* Collect information about candidates’ experience, technical skills, availability, salary expectations, notice periods, and work eligibility.
* Explain job opportunities clearly and professionally.
* Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
* Provide candidates with interview details, updates, and feedback where appropriate.
### Interview Coordination
* Schedule telephone, video, and face-to-face interviews.
* Coordinate interview availability between candidates, recruiters, and clients.
* Send interview confirmations and reminders.
* Follow up with candidates after interviews.
* Record interview outcomes and next steps in the recruitment system.
### Job Advertising
* Assist with preparing and publishing job descriptions.
* Post vacancies on LinkedIn, job boards, social media platforms, and the company website.
* Ensure job advertisements are clear, accurate, inclusive, and professional.
* Monitor job applications and respond to suitable candidates promptly.
### Recruitment Administration
* Update candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System or recruitment database.
* Maintain accurate records of calls, emails, interviews, applications, and placements.
* Organise CVs, candidate documents, and recruitment reports.
* Support reference checks, document collection, and onboarding activities.
* Assist with weekly recruitment reports and performance tracking.
Candidate Requirements
### Essential Requirements
* Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Psychology, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related subject.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
* Confidence in speaking with candidates through telephone and video calls.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
* Good organisational and time-management abilities.
* Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional, positive, and responsible attitude.
* Interest in recruitment, HR, or the technology industry.
### Desirable Requirements
* Previous internship or experience in recruitment, HR, sales, customer service, or administration.
* Familiarity with LinkedIn and online job portals.
* Experience using an Applicant Tracking System or CRM platform.
* Basic understanding of common IT roles and technical skills.
* Knowledge of the UK recruitment market.
* Experience conducting telephone screening or candidate outreach.
