PRIVATE GENERAL & FAMILY DENTIST

One day per week initially (Thursday), with scope to build to two days
Thames Dental & Skin is an established, independently owned private clinic in the heart of Thames Ditton. We are looking for an experienced general dentist who takes pride in excellent everyday dentistry, thoughtful diagnosis and long-term relationships with patients and families.
The role
The position is centred on comprehensive private family dentistry, including:
- Examinations, prevention and long-term maintenance
- Children’s and family dental care
- Care for nervous and anxious patients
- Direct restorative dentistry and Invisalign (clear aligner competency with a view to grow)
- Crowns, onlays, bridges and straightforward restorative cases
- Routine extractions within competence
- Emergency dentistry
- Collaborative treatment planning and appropriate internal referral
Advanced implant surgery and complex full-mouth cases are not required. The successful clinician will have clear referral pathways for advanced prosthodontics, implants, orthodontics, hygiene and specialist care.
About you
We expect the successful candidate normally to have at least seven years’ post-qualification experience, or to demonstrate an equivalent depth of experience in high-quality private general practice.
You will be:
- Clinically conscientious and committed to evidence-based dentistry
- Confident in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning
- An excellent communicator who builds trust without pressurised selling
- Comfortable treating adults, children and anxious patients
- Strong in routine restorative and preventive dentistry
- Reliable with records, consent, photography and follow-up
- Collaborative, kind and respectful toward the whole practice team
- Interested in progressing within a growing independent clinical environment

Pay: £51,092.34-£80,000.00 per year
