Associate Dentist – Mixed NHS/Private | Ice Surgeries (Nottinghamshire)
Up to 4 days per week | Established NHS + private patient lists | iTero | Cosmetic & digital growth | Implants environment
Ice Surgeries is a busy, well-established mixed practice in Nottinghamshire, based in a highly sought-after area with a strong sense of community and a patient base that values quality, trust and long-term care. We have an existing list of patients for both NHS and private dentistry, with excellent opportunity to grow private work in a supportive, modern setting.
Our culture is simple: we take dentistry seriously, but we never forget we’re caring for people. We want patients to leave feeling listened to, respected and reassured—not rushed through.
The opportunity
You’ll join a practice with real structure and support in place to help you thrive:
- 1–4 days per week available
- Mixed NHS and private, with strong private scope already present
- Established lists of NHS and private patients
- Three Treatment Co-ordinators (TCOs) supporting patient journeys and case acceptance
- Digital dentistry and modern techniques are actively encouraged – we use an iTero scanner and EMS GBT protocol
- Good transport links for Nottingham and surrounding areas.
Implant environment
We have dentists in the practice with a strong interest in implant surgery, including one clinician with a Master’s degree in Implantology who also lectures. We currently work with Straumann and Megagen implant systems, and there is an excellent referral pathway and clinical exposure for associates who want to develop in this area (where trained and appropriate).
Clinical scope (dependent on your interests and training)
There is strong scope to develop private work in areas such as:
- Cosmetic dentistry and smile improvement Composite bonding / aesthetic restorative work Crowns and onlays
- Clear aligners (if trained or keen to develop)
- Facial aesthetics (where trained)
- Implant dentistry (where trained and appropriate)
We’re particularly interested in clinicians who enjoy building a patient’s confidence—through clear communication, good planning and high-quality delivery.
The kind of clinician who does well here
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator — confident, reassuring, and able to build trust
- A genuine team player who contributes to the wider practice (not just their own diary)
- Committed to postgraduate development: you’re already on that path and want to keep going
- Interested in modern dentistry, continuous improvement, and doing things properly
Training & development culture
We’re a practice that genuinely invests in clinician development. The practice has an experienced clinician who has previously supported dentists as an FD trainer and PLVE mentor/supervisor, and we are used to helping clinicians build confidence, consistency and progression in a supportive environment.
We’re also part of Extreme Business 100 (Chris Barrow) — working with 100 like-minded practices to keep improving, keep learning, and keep moving forward.
Remuneration
- Competitive UDA rate (based on experience)
- Private split / overall package structured based on experience, skills and role contribution
- Full details discussed confidentially with shortlisted candidates.
If you’re looking for a practice where standards matter, development is encouraged, and patient experience is central — we’d love to have a confidential conversation.
