Management Accountant – Part Time

Overview of the role
To support the Senior Management Accountant in maintaining strong financial control by delivering accurate, timely financial processing, balance sheet integrity, and statutory compliance.
The role is hands-on, focusing on core transactional ownership, reconciliations, and ensuring robust financial data within the ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely bank reconciliations
- Perform month end close activities and reconciliations including cash, debtors, prepayments and royalties
- Ensure all reconciliations are fully supported, accurate, and auditable
- Maintain capital expenditure asset records
- Review capital expenditure depreciation and reconcile capex register
- Support overall month-end close activities ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
- Prepare and submit ONS returns
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes and systems
- Provide support across the Finance team during peak workloads and absences
- Provide cover and support for Senior Management Accountant and Purchase Ledger Clerk
Essential Qualifications, Skills and/or Experience
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills
- Good communication skills with ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
- ERP system experience (e.g. Business Central desirable)
- Part-qualified or qualified accountant or QBE
- Power BI experience (desirable)
