Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC plasma programmer/operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC plasma machines and a solid understanding of all processes including AutoCAD or similar drawing package. Candidate will also be responsible for the quality and efficiency of the machine. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in tooling, materials handling, and possess basic maths skills to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Duties
- Develop and optimise CNC programmes for cutting processes to ensure high-quality production output.
- Operate AutoCAD or similar drawing package.
- Utilise logic controllers effectively to monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaborate with the production team to streamline processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Additional task my be involved as and when required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a CNC operator/Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Knowledge of drawing software packages.
- Strong mechanical , tooling, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with basic maths concepts for accurate measurements and calculations is required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is crucial for success in this role.
