We are an established and growing geo-environmental consultancy based in Greater Manchester, providing contaminated land, geotechnical, and environmental services to clients across the UK.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a CAD Technician to support our expanding technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work on a diverse range of development, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
The Role
Working closely with our geotechnical and environmental consultants, you will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings, plans, sections, figures, and mapping outputs to support project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Producing and updating technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Preparing site plans, exploratory hole layouts, utility plans, ground models and engineering sections.
- Creating site location plans, constraints plans, and project figures.
- Supporting the preparation of factual and interpretative reports with technical graphics and mapping outputs.
- Managing project drawings and maintaining CAD standards.
- Assisting with GIS-based mapping and spatial data tasks where required.
- Liaising with consultants and project managers to ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.
About You........
Essential
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience within a geo-environmental, geotechnical, civil engineering, surveying, or environmental consultancy environment.
- Experience using GIS software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Experience working with site investigation data.
- Familiarity with KeyHOLE, HoleBASE, Civil 3D, or similar software.
- Understanding of engineering and construction drawings.
- Full UK driving licence.
