Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service and support meal service during busy hours
- Support the training of new kitchen staff to uphold quality standards and operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling regulations
- Hands-on experience with meal preparation, including chopping, cooking, plating, and serving
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and culinary tools
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is valued highly
