The Role
As a Therapeutic Support Worker you'll help create a safe, nurturing and therapeutic home where children can thrive.
You'll:
- Build trusting, positive relationships with children.
- Support children's emotional, educational and day-to-day needs.
- Promote independence and life skills.
- Encourage positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches.
- Work alongside families and professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and safeguard children at all times.
- Help create a warm, welcoming and homely environment.

Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Good communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
Desirable
- Level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to achieve it)
- Experience in residential childcare, education, youth work or social care
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice or therapeutic care. These criteria are condensed directly from the person specification.
