MALE CLIENT
Dove Home Care Agency Ltd is urgently seeking an experienced and compassionate Punjabi-speaking Live-In Carer to support a MALE client in his own home.

- You will be caring for a MALE client
- Fluent Punjabi is ESSENTIAL – this is a mandatory requirement
- This is a LIVE-IN position – you MUST be willing to live in the client's home
- Minimum 1 year of professional care experience is required
- Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK
- Applicants must have a valid DBS on the update service
- Sponsorship/COS is NOT available
About the Client
The client is a male who lives at home with his wife and has vascular dementia.
He is able to communicate his needs and wishes and enjoys:
- Reading the newspaper
- Completing crosswords
- Watching television
- Talking and communicating with people
He uses a Zimmer frame for mobility.
The client follows a Hindu diet and has specific cultural food preferences, so the successful carer must be comfortable preparing and supporting a culturally appropriate diet, including Indian/Hindu-style meals.
About the Role
As a Live-In Carer, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to the client in his own home.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care
- Supporting mobility and independence
- Assisting with medication
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting daily routines
- Following personalised care plans
- Preparing meals according to the client's dietary and cultural preferences
- Helping with light household duties
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working alongside healthcare professionals and the care management team
You will be living in the client's home, so you must be comfortable with the responsibilities and expectations of a live-in care placement.
Essential Requirements
You MUST:
- Be fluent in Punjabi – ESSENTIAL
- Be willing to live in the client's home
- Have a minimum of 1 year's professional care experience
- Have a DBS on the update service
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Be caring, patient, reliable and respectful
- Have strong communication and record-keeping skills
- Be able to work independently
- Be comfortable supporting a male client
- Be willing to work within the client's cultural and dietary preferences
Desirable Experience
- Previous live-in care experience
- Experience supporting clients with dementia
- Care Certificate or relevant care qualifications
- First Aid certification
- Experience with care plans and behavioural support
