Job Summary
Join our dynamic finance team as a Level 2 AAT Apprentice, where you will embark on an exciting journey to develop your accounting skills while earning a recognised professional qualification. This paid apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in financial processes, enhance your knowledge of accounting software, and contribute to the smooth operation of our financial services. You will work closely with experienced professionals, supporting various accounting functions and building a solid foundation for your future career in finance. We expect to carry you through your AAT qualification up to Level 4.
Duties
- Daily admin tasks, including answering phones and organising work.
- Bookkeeping including processing of accounting records using software including but not limited to Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and FreeAgent.
- Preparation of VAT returns from relevant accounting records, using software including but not limited to Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and FreeAgent.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements from relevant accounting records for manager review.
- Preparation of corporation tax computations.
- Requesting details and corresponding with clients concerning queries.
- Liaising with managers regarding daily tasks.

Your training plan
College course will preferably take place at First Intuition Maidstone. This will be to study AAT Level 2. This could be in blocks or day release. This depends on when the course takes place.
