Responsibilities
- Safely operate flatbed trucks and other delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload goods efficiently using proper techniques to prevent damage during transit
- Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet scheduled delivery times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, receipts, and delivery confirmations
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory checks and packaging support
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial driving background
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving privileges
- Experience operating flatbed trucks or similar large vehicles is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of driving safety procedures and traffic laws
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple deliveries efficiently
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps confidently in various environments
