Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction and renovation sectors, contributing to the transformation of residential, commercial, and industrial spaces.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
- Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for different surfaces and environments
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related fields
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites
- Fluency in English to ensure clear communication with clients and team members
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to interpret technical instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with good attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating activities
