Jesse's House | Parson's Green | Full time/Part time
The pool is one of the most loved parts of OurHouse. It’s where children take their first strokes, where babies splash and laugh with their parents, and where confidence is built one lesson at a time. We’re looking for a Swim Instructor who understands that, and who brings the skill, warmth, and energy to make every session something families look forward to.
This is more than delivering a syllabus. You’ll get to know your swimmers, track their progress, celebrate their milestones, and be the reason a family keeps coming back. You’ll teach across all stages — from parent and baby sessions to Stages 1–7 of the Swim England framework — as part of a close-knit swim team in a genuinely brilliant place to work.
What you'll be doing
- Teaching swimming across Stages 1–7 of the Swim England framework, tailored to each swimmer’s ability and development
- Leading parent and baby sessions with warmth and confidence — creating a positive experience for child and carer alike
- Planning lessons that build progressively and identifying and correcting technique with encouragement
- Keeping accurate attendance and development records for all swimmers
- Handling member enquiries about the swim programme in a friendly and knowledgeable way
- Working closely with the Swim Coordinator to support the commercial success of the programme
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised pool environment in line with all health, safety, and safeguarding standards
What we need from you
- STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (ASA) Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming
- SEQ Level 2 — Teaching Swimming to Babies and Toddlers or STA Level 2 Award in Aquatic Teaching — Baby and Pre-School Swimming
- Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one before your start date
- Confident teaching across all Swim England stages, including parent and baby lessons
- Excellent communication skills with children, babies, and parents
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
- Valid NPLQ (desirable but not essential)
What’s in it for you
- A role at the heart of one of the most valued member experiences we offer
- A close-knit, supportive swim team in a premium family club environment
- Flexible scheduling to suit full-time or part-time commitments
- The chance to make a real difference — teaching children to swim is a life skill that stays with them forever
OurHouse is a family members’ club built around the belief that great experiences shouldn’t stop when you have kids. We bring together world-class food and drink, thoughtfully designed kids’ spaces, fitness studios, and a genuine sense of community.
If you love being in the water, care about the little things that make a lesson truly great, and want to be part of a club that families genuinely love — we’d love to hear from you.
