Duties
- Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to various destinations within designated routes
- Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and secure placement for delivery
- Verify delivery addresses and documentation to ensure accuracy before dispatching
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery details or resolve issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking fuel levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, mileage traveled, and any incidents encountered during shifts
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies to ensure a secure working environment
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role with a focus on customer service
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
- Experience working in warehouses or handling heavy lifting tasks efficiently and safely
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to navigate using GPS or maps confidently in various environments
- Physical stamina for loading/unloading packages and performing routine vehicle checks
