Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify necessary repairs accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid replacements to keep vehicles running smoothly.
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records, including repair procedures performed and parts used, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Assist customers by explaining repair processes clearly and providing excellent customer service throughout the maintenance experience.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Motor Vehicle Technician or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Prior experience with equipment repair and maintenance in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
