We are seeking an experienced Commercial & Industrial HVAC / Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The role involves working across a wide range of commercial and industrial environments, carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault-finding on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercial & industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Working on systems including VRV/VRF, chillers, AHUs, ventilation, split systems, and heat pumps
- Service and maintenance of refrigeration equipment such as cold rooms, pack systems, display cabinets, and process refrigeration
- Fault diagnosis on mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns
- Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations, health & safety standards, and company procedures
- Completing service reports, F-Gas records, and site documentation accurately
- Liaising with clients, site managers, and internal teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC and refrigeration
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience with chillers, large pack refrigeration systems, and industrial plant
- Experience working on co2 systems
- Electrical qualifications (18th Edition desirable)
- Experience with control systems
- Manufacturer training
- Experience in sectors such as retail, food production, manufacturing, healthcare, data centres
