Job overview
Reporting to the Facilities Officer, the Groundskeeper will support the Facilities and Maintenance teams by keeping the gardens and external areas of Amicus Trust properties safe, clean and well maintained. This includes maintaining front and rear gardens, removing refuse and rubbish safely, and helping to ensure outdoor spaces meet the required health and safety standards.
You will monitor external areas throughout the year, identify and report health and safety concerns, assess risks, prioritise safety-related work and escalate issues outside the scope of the role. Where work is outsourced, you may liaise with contractors and help ensure work is completed safely, legally and to the required standard.
This is a practical, hands-on role requiring good communication, accurate record keeping, a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team across Amicus Trust accommodation.
