William Bailey Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Pipefitter Welder to join our mechanical building services team, working on commercial projects across the Midlands and surrounding areas.
The role will involve working primarily within plantrooms and on commercial building service installations including steel and copper pipework distribution systems across a range of live and new-build environments.
This position would involve standard site working hours 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday (with overtime available), on various commercial sites with our team of fitters working predominantly in the Health, Educational and Ministry of Defence Sectors.
Applicants should have a NVQ level 3 pipe fitting / welding qualification. In addition, the candidates should also have a CSCS card, PASMA qualification and asbestos awareness.
Typical works will include:
- Installation of steel and copper distribution pipework within commercial buildings.
- Stick / shielded metal arc welding on pipework generally ranging from 15mm to 250mm diameter.
- Installation, modification and refurbishment of plantroom pipework, valves, headers, pumps and associated mechanical equipment.
- Copper distribution pipework, including some crimp / press-fit systems where required.
- Working in schools, healthcare premises, MOD / MOJ sites, offices, warehouses and general commercial buildings.
- Assisting with pressure testing, commissioning preparation and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Working as part of a mechanical team and coordinating with supervisors, project managers and other trades.
