We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our team at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operational leader to become part of the Senior Management team at this truly beautiful sanctuary!
Working closely with the General Manager, you will take ownership of the sanctuary’s day-to-day operations and operational planning, while leading the team to deliver outstanding visitor experiences.
In this hands-on role, you’ll lead our Guest Experience & Education Supervisor, Cleaning and Car Parking teams; while acting as lead Duty Manager to confidently resolve challenges, make informed decisions and ensure the sanctuary operates safely, efficiently and smoothly.
You will play a key role in achieving the sanctuary’s financial targets through the successful delivery of additional experiences and cost control. In addition, you will champion a strong culture of health and safety, ensuring policies, procedures and training are embedded across the sanctuary.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the sanctuary to support conservation, education, marketing and fundraising initiatives. You will also deputise for the General Manager when required, helping shape the future success of the sanctuary.
This role is a permanent, full time leadership role and given the 7-day nature of the visitor attraction, there will be regular weekend and bank holiday working on a roster basis.
