Job Summary
Etwall Vets are looking for an additional animal lover to join thier team! We are looking for someone proactive and friendly - this role is incredibly varied and no two days are the same.
Main responsibilities will include;
- Ensuring clinical areas are kept clean and well stocked.
- Stock control and consumables ordering.
- Working alongside the vets and nurses to provide gold standard patient care.
- Day to day care of hospitalised and day patients - exercising, cleaning kennels etc.
- Giving lots of TLC
May also include;
- Holding animals for examination, blood sampling, IV catheter placement
- Assisting with setting up and cleaning down theatres.
- Cleaning, packing and sterilising equipment.
Requirements
- Must be able to demonstrate previous experience of handling small animals in a veterinary, rescue centre, kennel or cattery environment. Further on-site training will be provided.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Have strong initiative and be confident of completing tasks alone.
- Passion for organisation and cleanliness.
- Good sense of humour and a love of warm drinks and biscuits!!!
