We're looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Design Solutions Structures team based in Salford within the Highways sector. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Are you…
- Working towards (80% progression) or ideally Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
- Experienced in bridge design standards and analysis
- Skilled in managing and delivering projects to programme and budget constraints
- Knowledgeable about National design standards and procedures
- Committed to health and safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll be working within the Design Solutions Structures team, supporting them in delivering bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions.
Working within a supportive environment that values diverse perspectives and expertise, you'll contribute to projects that make a real difference to our highways infrastructure. We're looking for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives on technical challenges, and is passionate about developing high-quality engineering solutions that meet client needs.
Your day to day will include:
- Producing, developing and overseeing bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale
- Developing and designing solutions in accordance with National design standards and procedures
- Producing and overseeing scheme documents and reports
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations
- Contributing to regular reporting of progress to clients and assisting in the mentoring and development of staff
