Join our dynamic Agronomy team as an Assistant Greenkeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of our outdoor spaces. Duties
- Assist with routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep grounds looking vibrant and healthy
- Operate and maintain power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers efficiently and safely
- Support irrigation system installation, inspection, and repairs to ensure optimal watering practices
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment like excavators for landscaping projects and ground preparation
- Conduct regular groundskeeping inspections to identify areas needing attention or repair
- Help with construction projects related to course improvements or landscaping enhancements
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all equipment is properly stored and serviced after use
Requirements
- SVQ Level 3 in sports turf management/pa1 pa2 and pa6 pesticide qualification
- Sound mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain power tools and machinery
- Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades
- Ability to operate equipment like excavators or similar machinery is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance procedures
- Strong groundskeeping skills with an eye for detail and quality workmanship
- Construction experience or background in outdoor construction projects is advantageous
- Enthusiasm for outdoor work with a proactive attitude toward safety and teamwork
Pay: From £28,000.00 per year
