Job Description:
Mini Gears Stockport Ltd is an award-winning engineering Company that supply a wide range of gears and machined components worldwide to various industries. We are looking for a Warehouse/ Driver Operative to join our team.
PURPOSE OF JOB
To drive the Company vehicle to deliver goods and provide excellent Customer Service to our Customers.
To maintain a tidy environment in the warehouse and follow all driving, booking in/booking out, loading/unloading requirements.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading and unloading of goods safely within the Warehouse and Finished Goods section.
- Receive goods from outside suppliers, completing all paperwork and distributing these goods to the relevant departments.
- Operating the Fork Lift Truck to load and unload goods from vehicles.
- Working on the assembly production line as and when required.
- Drive the Company vehicle to deliver goods to Customers, completing all paperwork and recording of these movements.
- Remove refuse/packaging and clean pallets ensuring a tidy and safe environment, adhering to the 5s working principles within the Company.
- Servicing shop floor.
- Any other reasonable requests that are appropriate to your experience and qualifications
GENERAL
- Physical lifting of goods will be necessary during the working day.
- Adhere to the Company’s Health and Safety standards as defined in the Health and Safety policy.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Full Driving License is required.
- Fork Lift Truck License and/or Bendi Truck License is required,
- Able to work with others in a team environment.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing/Warehouse environment.
The hours of work will be:
07:30hrs – 16:30hrs Monday to Thursday
07:30hrs – 12:30hrs Friday
