About the Role
EXIN Construction Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Gas Engineer to join our kitchen and bathroom refurbishment teams working across social housing properties in Birmingham and the surrounding areas.
You will be responsible for carrying out gas works safely, efficiently and to a high standard as part of our planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Gas Engineer looking for regular work with an established and growing refurbishment contractor.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out gas works associated with kitchen and bathroom refurbishments.
* Safely isolate, disconnect and reinstate gas appliances.
* Carry out boiler and gas appliance installations, alterations and replacements where required.
* Complete gas pipework alterations and testing.
* Carry out gas safety checks and ensure appliances are operating correctly.
* Complete commissioning and relevant certification.
* Ensure all works comply with current Gas Safety Regulations and industry standards.
* Work closely with our Site Managers, Kitchen Fitters, Bathroom Fitters and other trades.
* Attend properties and diagnose gas-related issues where required.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Complete all required paperwork and certification accurately.
* Identify and report any defects, risks or additional works required.
* Work professionally and respectfully within tenants’ homes.
Essential Requirements
* Gas Safe Registered.
* CCN1 qualification.
* Relevant domestic gas qualifications for the appliances and work being undertaken.
* Proven experience working on domestic properties.
* Experience working within kitchen and/or bathroom refurbishment is highly desirable.
* Good understanding of gas safety procedures and current regulations.
* Able to work independently and as part of a wider refurbishment team.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Reliable, punctual and professional.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Own tools and PPE.
Desirable
* Experience working within social housing.
* Experience with void properties and planned refurbishment programmes.
* LPG or additional relevant gas qualifications.
* Experience working alongside kitchen and bathroom installation teams.
* Ability to identify additional works and communicate requirements clearly.
