Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, reliable and motivated PM shift chargehand to start at Nythe Farm Kitchen. PM shift runs from 13:30 - 22:00 Monday - Friday reporting into the Shift Manager and Production Manager.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring our cooked chicken products meet the highest standards of food quality while organising the team effectively. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about maintaining excellence within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The role involves handling both raw and cooked chicken, working in temperature controlled environments while upholding compliance within industry standards.
Duties
- Complete daily production paperwork; chargrilling, slicing, packing etc.
- Ensure CCPS are met and correctly recorded.
- Ensure ATP and Allergen swabs are completed when required.
- Oversee hygiene cleans and ensure team is wearing correct hygiene PPE and cleaning effectively.
- Ensure team are wearing correct PPE at all times; packing, chargrilling, cleaning etc.
- Maintain health and safety in production during shift.
- Lead, coach and motivate the team to achieve individual and departmental development.
- To report any issues or shortages to management.
- Ensuring procedures and good manufacturing practices are adhered to and staff are clear on what is expected of them.
- Ensuring planned dispatch times are met.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food manufacturing or food production environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP standards and their application in ensuring product safety.
- Knowledge & understanding of BRC accreditation requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for liaising across departments.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in food compliance/assurance desirable but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety while working as a team within a fast-paced setting.
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
