Strand Dental is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Dentist to join our friendly and experienced team in the heart of Worthing, West Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity for a general dentist to inherit a well-established, busy patient list from day one, comprising loyal private and Denplan patients, with excellent potential to further develop and grow. The role currently offers 25.5 clinical hours per week, with flexibility to increase sessions.

About Strand Dental
Located close to the seafront in Worthing, Strand Dental has been caring for patients in Worthing and the surrounding areas for many years and has built an excellent reputation for high-quality dental care.
We provide predominantly private dental care for adults alongside Denplan, as well as holding a small NHS contract for children's dentistry.
Our modern, fully computerised practice offers:
- Digital radiography throughout
- TRIOS intraoral scanner
- CBCT scanner
- Endodontic operating microscope
- Air-conditioned surgeries
- Modern equipment throughout
- Fully computerised practice
- A highly experienced and supportive clinical team
We are also a referral practice for:
- Dental implants
- Oral surgery
- Dentures
A supportive and experienced team
You will be joining a close-knit team of experienced dentists, hygienists, qualified dental nurses, dedicated decontamination nurses, experienced receptionists and a supportive Practice Manager.
The Opportunity
- Start date: January 2027
- Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with potentially flexible scheduling
- Current clinical hours: 25.5 hours per week, with scope to increase
- Patient base: Established private and Denplan list ready to inherit
- Remuneration: Sliding-scale percentage
- Laboratory fees: 50%
- Current annual gross: £250,000–£270,000 for our busy current associate working an average of 3.5 days per week
There is excellent potential for the successful candidate to develop their patient base and increase their earnings through continued growth of their private list.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a caring, motivated and ambitious clinician who:
- Has excellent communication and patient care skills
- Confident discussing treatment options, estimates and treatment plans with patients
- Is committed to providing high-quality, ethical dentistry
- Is keen to develop their clinical skills and build long-term relationships with patients
- Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team
- Has experience with clear aligner treatments
- Holds GDC registration
- Holds an active NHS Performer Number
- Has a minimum of one year’s experience in GDS/PDS or has completed DFT
