Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Evening and Weekend Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about the culinary environment, eager to support our kitchen operations during evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and service are upheld at all times.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic, including washing dishes, utensils, and cookware
- Support the organisation of kitchen supplies and stock levels
- Help with the disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes
- Follow all health and safety procedures diligently to uphold a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality environments is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel kitchen operations would be advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
