Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team on a part time basis, initially two days per week. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, proven experience, and a strong understanding of, garden maintenance. This role involves working outdoors to create and maintain beautiful gardens and green spaces, ensuring that all plants are healthy and thriving.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain various types of plants, flowers, and shrubs in gardens and landscaped areas.
- Perform groundskeeping duties, including mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and weeding flower beds.
- Irrigate plants effectively to ensure optimal growth and health.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various gardening tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve overall landscaping goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is essential.
- An RHS Level 2 qualification is preferable
- Strong knowledge of plant care, including growing techniques and pest management.
- Familiarity with groundskeeping practices and equipment operation.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively in a safe manner.
- Excellent physical stamina, with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
- Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
