Medical Emergency Solutions is looking for a reliable Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) to join our team in Luton. You will keep our fleet of private ambulances clean, stocked and ready for operational use at all times.
This role starts on a zero hours basis for a 3 month probation period, moving to a full time employed contract once probation ends. During probation you are paid at National Minimum Wage, at the rate applicable to your age group. Pay is reviewed at the end of probation.
What You Will Do
- Clean and stock ambulances between shifts, keeping vehicles ready for operational use at all times.
- Check vehicles for damage or maintenance issues and report these to the relevant team.
- Follow hygiene and infection control procedures relevant to a medical environment.
- Support the wider crew with clean, fully equipped vehicles for every shift.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience working on or around ambulances, in any capacity. This covers crew work, cleaning, stocking or driving.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
- A clean enhanced DBS check is required, or you must be willing to apply for one.
- Someone dependable and thorough who takes pride in their work.
Career Progression
This role gives you a route into further clinical positions. Depending on your dedication, punctuality and reliability, you can progress to Emergency Care Assistant (ECA) and then Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
Working Hours
Morning shift: 6am to 2pm. Afternoon shift: 12pm to 8pm. Weekend availability is required.
