Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Healthcare Assistant in a vibrant residential care home, where your compassion and proactive approach will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. In this role, you will provide essential support to elderly and vulnerable individuals, ensuring they receive personalized care that promotes their independence, dignity, and well-being. Your energy and communication skills will help create a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued and cared for every day.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs and preferences
- Monitor residents’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to the nursing team
- Engage residents in social activities and meaningful interactions to enhance their emotional well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and ensure compliance with care home policies
- Support with medication administration following prescribed guidelines (if trained and authorized)
- Facilitate effective communication between residents, families, and staff to ensure transparency and trust
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
- Basic IT skills for documentation and updating care records accurately
- Valid driving license is advantageous for supporting residents’ outings or errands
- Ability to work as part of a team with a positive attitude and a caring approach
- Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety regulations is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be offered

Pay: £12.82 per hour
