Packing & Despatch Assistant
We are recruiting for a Packing & Despatch Assistant to cover a period of maternity leave, working as part of a small team in our Packing & Despatch Department at Shire Hill, Saffron Walden. This is a fixed term position for 12 months. Whilst we value your experience, what is more important to us is your personality, drive, adaptability and independence.
Our Packing & Despatch team plays an important role in the business, and we are looking for a dependable, approachable, and hardworking individual who will fit well within our small team.
Contamac manufacture polymers for contact and intraocular lenses (used in cataract surgery),and are based in Saffron Walden.
Maximum of 45-minute commute from Saffron Walden.
Job Title: Packing & Despatch Assistant
Duration: Monday to Friday; 09:00 – 17:00 – 37.5hrs per week (FTC for a period of 12 months)
Salary: £24,850.00 per annum
Reports to: Operations Manager
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- Ability to work with critical attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook)
- Able to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Reliability is essential
Job Duties:
· Packing materials and accessories for orders and stock, producing labels for products.
- Ensure a high standard is maintained within the department.
- Post to be dispatched daily.
