About the Role
This is a brand-new role within our procurement function, where you'll take full ownership of a defined portfolio of raw materials and packaging managing and developing supplier relationships to ensure everything we source is competitively priced, compliantly approved and reliably delivered to specification.

What you'll be Doing:
- Own a defined portfolio of raw materials and packaging, acting as the primary point of contact for all suppliers
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring terms are competitive and legally compliant
- Conduct regular market reviews and lead tendering processes for contract renewals and new supply requirements
- Manage supplier approvals and non-conformances, ensuring all suppliers meet food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with the Technical team on all supplier selection & approvals
- Proactively source and evaluate new suppliers to support product development, cost optimisation and supply chain resilience
- Manage and communicate rolling volume forecasts, giving suppliers clear visibility of current and future demand
- Manage rolling volume forecasts and liaise with suppliers on capacity planning, lead times and forward availability
- Hold regular business reviews with key suppliers to align on performance
- Coordinate full supplier setup for new product launches, including onboarding, technical approval and commercial agreements
- Work closely with Planning and NPD to ensure materials are on-site and ready for trials and launch timelines
- Manage pre-production sample approvals and resolve any supply issues during trial and launch phases
- Work with the planning team and manage purchase orders to support plan delivery.
- Forecast demand for raw materials and packaging, applying Just in Time principles to maintain availability while minimising stockholding and waste.
- Ensure raw materials and packaging are available to support production schedules
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to confirm material availability and delivery schedules
- Liaise with print suppliers to manage bespoke packaging stock and print schedules
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within food manufacturing
- Experience managing raw material sourcing and supplier onboarding for new product launches
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in negotiation, with a track record of delivering value
- Knowledge of commodity markets relevant to food and agriculture, is a distinct advantage
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, supplier compliance and approval processes
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

How We Work Together
Salary: Between £35k - £40k per annum (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: Full time, 9.00 a.m – 5.00 p.m Monday to Friday, with flexibility required as of when
Location: Onsite at Four Anjels in Bishops Cleeve nr Cheltenham.
