THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION, ON A 3-MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT BASIS
Enovert is one of the UK’s leading providers of waste management services. Our primary operations include 7 operational landfill sites, 3 composting facilities and 2 waste transfer stations across which Enovert manages in excess of 2.3 million tonnes of waste per annum.
Enovert is also a significant generator of renewable energy, primarily based on the extraction of gas from our landfill sites. Enovert’s sites produce approximately 194 GWh of electricity each year – enough electricity to power 75,000 homes.
Enovert also provide specialist services for the management and aftercare of landfill sites including site environmental engineering, environmental monitoring, site restoration, landfill gas management and utilisation plus the development of closed sites for green space and renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Direct traffic coming onto site and take responsibility for the operation of the Company’s electronic weighbridge system, working in ways that upholds the Company’s compliance with its policies and procedures.
§ Check incoming loads, ensuring compliance with site licence and permitted waste types.
§ Ensure that all site users are adequately inducted and instructed.
§ Record and compilate waste input records, site access records, and any other weighbridge related records (as directed by the site management team).
§ Report any anomalies/errors to the weighbridge system to the appropriate people immediately.
§ Communicate with site staff regarding waste acceptance, waste inspection, waste sampling, and all related controls.
§ Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
§ Work in ways that ensures the maintenance, housekeeping, and security of the weighbridge building.
§ Report any non-conformances or irregularities with waste, and any other concerns/issues relating to the safe and efficient use of the site by customers.
§ Once trained to do so, provide first aid to anyone working on, or visiting the site.
§ Assist the Waste Solutions and Finance Teams to manage customer relationships and waste inputs.
§ Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as appropriate.
§ Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
· Experienced in a similar operational role with a strong understanding of weighbridge operations.
· Highly organised with a keen eye for detail and good time keeping.
· Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
· Proficient in using weighbridge software and other related technologies.
· Adherence to safety and compliance protocols in weighbridge operations.
· Computer literate, particularly with MS Office.
· Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service, face to face and using the telephone.
· The ability to challenge, in a constructive manner.
